Congratulations to the MGS softball team. They are IESA Regional Champions defeating Washington Middle School 7-2.

The Metamora Fire Department would like to invite the community to their firehouse on Saturday, October 5th for their annual Pancake and Sausage breakfast. We look forward to seeing and serving everyone at the Firehouse on October 5th.

Congratulations to the cross country team. They participated in the Parkside Invitational on Saturday. Out of 52 teams the Girls varsity placed 5th, Boys varsity placed 25th,Girls open places 4th,Boys open placed 17th Individual medalists in the girls open race were Callie McDonald-14th,Madison Sterr- 20th In the boys open Xavier Kang placed 24th

At the IESA state finals on Friday, Jacob Cooper shot a 92 at Metamora Fields and took 62 place out of 80 golfers. Congratulations to him for competing with the other top finalists of middle school boy golfers in the state of Illinois!

Thanks so much to the marching band and color guard for performing for our STATE Golfers. You looked and sounded awesome! Good Luck at STATE! Go Birds!

Boys Basketball Open Gyms will begin next Tuesday - they will be held every Tuesday & Thursday from 3:15-5:00. This is open to all 6th-8th grade boys. A current physical must be on file to attend open gyms and to tryout. Tryouts will be held on October 21st and October 22nd.

Congrats to Piper Crispen ~ she competed at the State Golf Tournament yesterday at Metamora Fields and shot a 98. She ended up placing in the TOP HALF! Great job Piper!!

📢The MGS Foundation for Educational Excellence is thrilled to share that the trustees have reviewed the teacher fall mini-grant requests... and.. ALL REQUESTS WERE APPROVED totaling over $36,000!! The teachers and students at MGS will benefit immensely from all the new technologies, equipment, and programs headed their way. This historic approved amount could not have happened without the incredible support of our village from local business sponsorships, community donations, and parent participation. What a great time to be a Redbird! ❤️🤍🖤

Mrs. Lelm's students participated in mock interviews for multiple career paths as part of their elective class. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this experience possible!

Metamora Cub Scout Pack 3064 invites you to join the Pack! Come meet some leaders and learn about Scouting at an informal meeting for interested families. Stop by anytime between 6 and 7pm on Wednesday, September 11 in the Metamora Grade School library. Pack 3064 is open to girls and boys in grades K-5
